Opening day action wrapped up Monday at the 2026 Women’s Bunge Prairie Pinnacle and the Men’s SaskTel Tankard in Melville, with a full slate of draws getting both provincial championships underway.
At the Women’s Prairie Pinnacle, the morning draw saw Jana Tisdale of Regina open with a 9–1 win over Jolene Campbell, while Penny Barker of Moose Jaw edged Nancy Martin of Martensville 11–9. Sara Miller of Regina posted a 5–2 victory over Sherrilee Orsted, and Ashley Thevenot of Martensville slipped past Jenna Enge of Esterhazy 9–8.
In the evening draw, Jolene Campbell bounced back with a 7–4 win over Nancy Martin. Penny Barker remained unbeaten with an 8–6 victory over Jana Tisdale, while Sara Miller improved to two wins on the day with a 9–6 decision over Jenna Enge. Mandy Selzer of Balgonie rounded out the draw with a 9–5 win against Ashley Thevenot.
On the men’s side at the SaskTel Tankard, Bradley Moser of Saskatoon edged Josh Bryden of Regina 7–6. Dustin Kalthoff of Saskatoon outlasted Carl deConinck-Smith of Fox Valley 14–11, Kelly Knapp of Regina scored a 10–4 win over Michael Carss in eight ends, and Rylan Kleiter of Saskatoon opened with a 12–8 victory over Steve Laycock of Swift Current.
Competition continues Tuesday in Melville with four more draws scheduled, including two men’s draws, one getting underway at 8 a.m., and two women’s draws beginning at Noon.
