The Swan Valley Stampeders picked up their second straight win Wednesday, knocking off the Northern Manitoba Blizzard in front of a packed house of school kids during the club’s annual School Kids Game.
Captain Ben Groome paced the Stamps with two goals and an assist, while Noah Stott, Aidan Grant and Trace Langan also found the back of the net.
Isaac Tomchak led the Blizzard offensively with a goal and two assists.
Samuel Bastien turned aside 23 of 26 shots to secure the win for Swan Valley, which returns to action this weekend with a pair of road games Saturday and Sunday in Winnipeg against the Monarchs.
Elsewhere Wednesday, the Steinbach Pistons rolled past the Portage Terriers 7–2 on the road.
