The outflow from the Shellmouth Reservoir was increased yesterday (Thu), as part of normal operations to draw it down, in preparation for spring runoff from the Upper Assiniboine River.
The Manitoba government says the outflow was increased from 500 cubic feet per second to 650 feet per second.
An additional scheduled release on Wednesday will increase outflow to 800 cubic feet per second.
The increased outflow will result in a half-foot to one foot level increase on the Assiniboine River, from Shellmouth to Brandon.
