Yorkton Terriers well represented in SJHL Players of the Month for February

The SJHL Players of the Month are out, and the Yorkton Terriers are well represented.

Forward William Leonard (pictured left) has been named Bourgault Forward of the Month after putting up 19 points in 11 games. The 19-year-old from Drummondville scored eight goals and added 11 assists, continuing to be a key finisher on Yorkton’s top line as the Terriers climbed the standings.

Joining him is Jye Zawatsky (pictured right) , who earns Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Month honours. The Yorkton product collected 17 points in just nine games, with four outings of three points or more, helping push the Terriers into a home-ice playoff spot.

Around the league, Josh Knittig of Battlefords was named MVP of the Month, Flin Flon’s Xavier Fauchon took Defenceman of the Month, Kaeden Serpa of Battlefords is Goalie of the Month, and Bombers netminder Finn Werner was named Rookie of the Month.
