The Swan Valley Stampeders have won seven of their last eight after a dominant 4–0 road victory over the Dauphin Kings on Tuesday, backstopped by a 64-save performance from Easton Falls for his first MJHL shutout.
Swan Valley opened the scoring in the first period when Ryder Woods swatted a rebound out of mid-air past Kings goaltender Bryson Yaschyshyn after Noah Stott’s initial shot was turned aside, giving the Stamps a 1–0 lead after 20 minutes.
The lead doubled late in the second on a clean 2-on-1, as Zach Hertz slid a cross-ice pass to 17-year-old Crosby Harrison, who buried his 10th of the season to make it 2–0 through two.
The visitors pulled away early in the third. Swan River product Trace Langan jammed home his 13th of the year less than two minutes in, and Wylie Smith extended the margin to 4–0 with his third goal in as many games, tipping in a Langan shot.
Yaschyshyn stopped 31 of 35 shots in the loss for Dauphin, who return to action Friday in Virden against the Oil Capitals.
The Stampeders continue their road trip Friday in Portage before facing Winkler on Saturday.
