The Manitoba Junior Hockey League has announced its Stars of the Week — and a goaltender performance is stealing the spotlight.
Swan Valley Stampeders netminder Easton Falls headlines the list after a dominant week between the pipes. The 18-year-old from London, Ontario picked up back-to-back wins, stopping 99 of 101 shots. That includes a remarkable 64-save shutout in a 4–0 victory over the Dauphin Kings. Falls posted a 1.00 goals-against average and a sparkling .981 save percentage. He’s now 5-and-1 in his last six starts, helping power the Stampeders to eight wins in their last ten games.
Up front, Winkler Flyers forward Tanner George also had a big week with eight points in three games, including a game-winning goal that helped snap Niverville’s 15-game win streak.
Teammate Niklas Gudmundson earns his fifth Star of the Week nod, recording seven points in three games and extending his point streak to seven games as Winkler continues its push up the standings.
