Ste Rose du Lac RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted in connection with the death of a dog on the Ebb and Flow First Nation.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 9, Mounties were called to a home on the reserve, on a report that a person had been threatened and an a dog had been assaulted, and at the scene, police determined that a male suspect, armed with an edged weapon, had been seen in the yard, just prior to the dog being found with fatal stab wounds.
The suspect was also seen at a second address in the community, where he allegedly made violent threats toward a resident.
37 year-old Daniel St. Paul, of Ebb and Flow, is charged with uttering threats and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, and anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call the Ste. Rose RCMP at 204-447-2513, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
