Three people have been charged with weapon offences, in connection with a disturbance at a home on the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation on May 18.
25-year-old Christian Thomas Cook, of Brandon, a 16-year-old Sapotweyak boy and a 14-year-old Swan River boy were arrested, following an incident, in which Mounties say three suspects – one armed with a pellet gun, and two others with machetes – had allegedly shot at other people outside a home, and windows at a home were smashed, before the suspects left the scene.
No one was injured.
A traffic stop later turned up loaded pellet gun, a rifle, hatchet and machete, and the arrests were made.
Cook and the 16-year-old remain in custody, while the 14-year-old’s charges were dealt with in court, and the youth received probation.
