The Melville Millionaires are celebrating another player advancing to the collegiate level for next season.
The club has announced that goaltender Matthew Spencer-Dahl has committed to the University of Dubuque, where he will continue his hockey and academic career at the NCAA Division III program in Iowa.
Spencer-Dahl joined the Millionaires in a mid-season move after being acquired in late November from the Winnipeg Monarchs of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
The 6-foot-4 netminder appeared in 23 regular-season games with Melville, posting a 12-7-2-1 record, along with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.
In the playoffs, the Qualicum, B.C. product added six appearances, going 2-3-0-1 while recording a 2.80 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage.
Spencer-Dahl joins a growing list of Millionaires graduates moving on to post-secondary hockey, alongside Boston Harkness, who has committed to the University of Regina, Matthew Edwards heading to Trinity Western University, and Wesley Golden bound for Ontario Tech University for the 2026–27 season.
