A Regina man faces a number of charges, stemming from from an alleged case of forcible confinement.
Shortly before 6 p.m. on May 24, Carlyle RCMP received a report of a man being forcibly confined, threatened with a firearm and repeatedly assaulted at a White Bear First Nation home, before escaping.
The victim was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
About an hour later, officers searched a White Bear home, seizing a handgun and axe, and arresting 28-year-old Braiden Hotomani, who is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court May 28 on 14 charges, including forcible confinement and assault causing bodily harm.
He was also wanted on a warrant by Regina Police, for attempted murder.
