We truly do live in the land of living skies. What a sunrise this morning.
People always ask how I can get up at 3:45 every weekday morning, and honestly, mornings like today make it a whole lot easier. There’s something special about watching the sun come up over the prairie. The world is quiet, the coffee is hot, and the sky puts on a show that almost doesn’t seem real.
This morning was one of those unforgettable sunrises. The colours were unbelievable — deep oranges, bright pinks, streaks of purple and gold stretching across the sky. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop for a second and just take it all in.
I honestly don’t think there’s anywhere else in the world quite like the prairies when it comes to the sky. Around here, we’re treated to incredible sunrises and sunsets day after day. Sometimes we get so busy rushing from one thing to the next that we forget to appreciate what’s right in front of us.
This morning was a reminder to slow down for a minute, sit back, and enjoy the show Mother Nature gives us for free.
