Another court appearance has been made by a former employee of the Municipality of Gilbert Plains, charged with theft over five thousand dollars.
41-year-old Amber Fisher pleaded guilty in Dauphin Provincial Court yesterday (Tue), where it was adjourned for sentencing, to September 2.
Fisher, who was the former Chief Administrative Officer of the Municipality, had been under investigation since 2022, after a complaint was made to the Manitoba Cyber and Financial Crime Unit.
The complaint alleged that Fisher had stolen upwards of 500-thousand dollars, while employed with the municipality.
