The 2026 SJHL Prospects Draft wrapped up Tuesday, with the Melville Millionaires and Yorkton Terriers adding a number of Saskatchewan products to their prospect pools.
Melville held the sixth overall pick in the 2010-born draft and used it to select Regina Pat Canadians defenceman Logan Dosenberger. The Millionaires also picked up Saskatoon forward Cohen Goluboff-Munro in the second round, York Lake forward Ty Rusnak later in the same round, Saskatoon forwards Kiptyn Kennedy and Cruz Aebig in the third round, Gull Lake goaltender Josh Benjamin in the fifth, and Regina’s YB Coates in the sixth.
The Millionaires also made two selections in the 2011-born draft, choosing Saskatoon Stallions forward Josh Koehler sixth overall before adding White City defenceman Jackson Bray in the second round.
The Moneymen also added Sask East Oiler forward Bo Johnson as a auto-protected player.
Meanwhile, the Yorkton Terriers selected Fife Lake forward Bronson Lamontagne with the 11th overall pick in the 2010-born draft. Yorkton followed that up by drafting Hudson Bay forward Lucas Dreschler, Tisdale Trojans defenceman Jett Prpich, Maryfield forward Duke Lesnar, Notre Dame Hounds forward Lincoln Romaniuk and Prince Albert’s Emmett Kihn.
In the 2011-born draft, the Terriers took Regina Monarchs defenceman Nash Tomchuk with the 11th overall selection and added Lanigan forward Sam Brenner in the second round.
The Terriers two local auto-protects were forwards Kelson Hawreluik and Mason Bryksa.
Elsewhere, Esterhazy’s Bridger Unchulenko was selected by the Warman Wolverines in the second round of the 2011-born draft.
Other local players selected in the 2010-born draft included Wynyard’s Hudson Wasylenka, who went to the Flin Flon Bombers in the third round, and Yorkton’s Carter Downey, who was picked by the Nipawin Hawks in the fifth round.
The 2026 SJHL Prospects Draft featured six rounds for 2010-born players and two rounds for 2011-born players as teams across the league looked to build for the future.
