A new court date has been set for a Regina man, arrested in connection with a forcible confinement case on the White Bear First Nation.
On May 24, Carlyle RCMP were called to White Bear, on a report of a man who had been forcibly confined, threatened with a firearm, and repeatedly assaulted.
The victim was able to escape, and was treated for injuries described as non-life threatening.
After the suspect was arrested, police say they seized an ax and a handgun.
28-year-old Braiden Hotomani was in Regina Provincial Court July 7, where he was remanded in custody to Aug. 12 in Carlyle.
