One of two men, arrested following a machete attack on the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation, has appeared in court again.
19-year-old Heath Cook is charged with aggravated assault..
On July 8, in Swan River Provincial Court, he was remanded in custody to July 13 in Dauphin.
Police say on June 19, a man was walking on a road, when two suspects arrived on an ATV.
One man allegedly chased and struck the victim with a machete, while the other attempted to run him over with the vehicle.
The victim escaped, and was taken to hospital with injuries.
Both suspects were later arrested, and a machete was recovered.
