One of three people, arrested in connection with an aggravated assault on the Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation, was back in Swan River Provincial Court on July 22.
18-year-old Zakari Kematch of Swan River, was remanded in custody to Aug. 19.
In the early morning hours of Oct. 2, Swan River RCMP members responded to a report of a possible assault at a property on the reserve.
Upon arrival, they located a 53-year-old man, who had been seriously assaulted, and he was taken to a Winnipeg hospital in critical condition.
