Another court appearance has been made by two men, arrested following a machete attack on the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation.
Police say on June 19, a man was walking on a road, when two suspects arrived on an ATV.
One man allegedly chased and struck the victim with a machete, while the other attempted to run him over with the vehicle.
The victim escaped, and was taken to hospital with injuries.
Both suspects were later arrested, and a machete was recovered.
19-year-old Enriquo Bourassa is charged with aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, while 19-year-old Heath Cook is charged with aggravated assault.
In Swan River Provincial Court today (WED), Bourassa was remanded in custody to Aug. 19, while Cook remains in custody, to appear again Sept. 16.
