New court date for Dauphin man accused of break-in, resisting arrest, and assaulting police officer

A Dauphin man arrested in connection with a residential break and enter in the city, has appeared in court again.

21-year-old Jacob Vermeylen was in Dauphin Provincial Court yesterday (Mon), where he had his matters set over to October 27.

On January 15, Dauphin RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress at a home on Fifth Avenue Northwest.

When the suspect was spotted leaving the residence, it’s alleged he resisted arrest, and assaulted a police officer.
