It was great getting out to another GX94 Supper In The Field last night at the farm of David and Maureen Zerr near Langenburg.
We had such a great time meeting many of their family and friends and getting a chance to spend some time at their farm. With all the recent rain, we enjoyed a great meal inside, courtesy of The Chalet Restaurant & Lounge in Yorkton. The food was fantastic, and it was even better getting to share the evening with such a great group of people.
After supper, we headed outside for the traditional Supper In The Field group picture. We also had a chance to chat with David about the farm and hear a little more about their operation. You can catch that interview with Doug Falconer on Sask Ag Today and on the GX94 Sask Ag Today Podcast.
We then had a little tour around the farm, checking out the shop and bin site, with the hum of the grain dryer running in the background. It was a great reminder of how much work is happening on Saskatchewan farms, especially after the recent rains.
A big thank you to David and Maureen for welcoming us onto their farm and to everyone who came out and made it such a fun evening. These Supper In The Field nights are always a great opportunity to meet people, share a meal and get out to see the farms that make our communities so special.
