A new court date has been set for a former employee of the Municipality of Gilbert Plains, who admitted to theft over five thousand dollars.
41-year-old Amber Fisher was in Dauphin Provincial Court yesterday (Tue), where she had her matters adjourned to October 27.
Fisher, who was the former Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, had been under investigation since 2022, after a complaint was made to the Manitoba Cyber and Financial Crime Unit.
The complaint alleged that Fisher had stolen upwards of 500-thousand dollars, while employed with the municipality.
