A new development in the case of man, who admitted to an attempted vehicle theft, that led to a stabbing incident in the R-M of Mountain.
35-year-old Clinton Duck, of Winnipeg, was scheduled to be sentenced in Dauphin Provincial Court yesterday (Mon), but he failed to attend, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.
In June of last year, Swan River RCMP arrested Duck near Bellsite, on numerous charges.
Mounties say they were called to the scene, after a homeowner confronted a man trying to steal his vehicle, but was stabbed in a scuffle, and the suspect fled on foot.
The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury.
