Man arrested on drug charges near Russell appears in court again

Another court appearance has been made by a Brandon man, arrested after a routine traffic stop near Russell, resulted in drug charges.

35-year-old Kacey Packham was in Brandon Provincial Court yesterday (Thu), where he was remanded in custody to November 12.

In December of 2024, Mounties pulled over a vehicle on Highway 16, and learned that the driver didn’t have a valid driver’s licence.

A 50-year-old man was asked to switch seats with the driver, and that’s when police noticed drugs in plain view.
