Do you still have some of your garden flowers or outdoor plants out? Or have you already packed everything away for another year?
We took our flowers and plants out last week, and honestly, they were still looking pretty good considering how late we are into the season. We decided it was time to call it a year before Mother Nature made that decision for us. Besides, I didn’t want to be dealing with all those pots and plants much later in the fall!
I have noticed some of the flower pots around the city are still looking really nice, too. It’s amazing how long some of those flowers can hang on when the weather cooperates. That might be changing today, though!
On my way to work this morning, I noticed quite a bit of frost on vehicles. It makes me wonder if we might be seeing our first hard frost here in the city. We’ve certainly had some chilly mornings, but it’s hard to believe we’re already at the halfway point of October and are just seeing this now.
I guess we can’t complain too much about getting this far into fall before a good frost arrives. It’s been nice to enjoy the flowers and a little extra time outdoors, but you know what’s coming next. Winter is waiting in the wings, whether we’re ready for it or not!
Now I’m curious about what you’re seeing in your neck of the woods.
Where are you, and have you had a hard frost yet? Are your flowers still hanging on, or have you already put the garden to bed for another year?
Let me know! I’d love to hear how things are looking around the GX94 listening area.
