There’s something satisfying about checking things off your fall to-do list, even if they’re not the most exciting jobs. Yesterday, I tackled one of those jobs I never really look forward to: washing the outside of the windows.
It’s not a huge job, but for whatever reason, it’s one of those things I tend to put off. Of course, once it’s done, you wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. There’s nothing quite like looking outside and actually being able to see clearly without all the dust, dirt, and spots getting in the way!
Yesterday was such a beautiful day to get outside and tackle a few things around the yard. When I checked the forecast and saw that things were going to cool off considerably this weekend, with a chance of rain or even that dreaded S word, I knew it was time to get moving.
I still have a couple of things left on my fall to-do list, but for the most part, I’m pretty much wrapped up with the yard work for another year. There’s always something to do when you have a yard, isn’t there? Just when you think you’re finished, you spot one more thing that needs attention.
Now, hopefully, I can sit back and enjoy the yard for a little while longer before winter settles in. Although, knowing Saskatchewan weather, we could go from enjoying a beautiful fall day to wondering where we put the snow shovel in a hurry!
How about you? Have you checked everything off your fall to-do list, or are there still a few outdoor jobs you’re hoping to get done before winter arrives?
